Hi Mel and Rhonda,
our computer is limping along very slowly on the old hard drive.
Our only hope of getting the other drive up and running again, is if we can get a copy of disk doctor. Luckily I had backuped my most important stuff, but still stand to lose so much, it's enough to make me wanna cry.

Well Rhonda I sure hope it's not your hard drive that has gone down and you get your computer fixed very soon.

well they both died old and newer and we got this chaep laptop with windows vista which i i am not use to either so have been pregnant dogy ABOUT IT TOO!!
THE KEYBOARD IS WAY DIFFERENT AND WELL I SUCK AT TYPING ANYWAY
so........i should be greatful that we got this and PAUL SAID WE CAN GET A A NEW DESktop on e built with windows xp so all is good

the advanatage to this is we do certain things for friends and the new laptop is something that he has wanted for a very long time.

so this way i am on line and he has his sites he likes to check out for geocaching etc and
if we travel this is set up for wireless and of course we have our modem in it for dial up

my hardrives are fine tried them in the external enclosures
the one com[puter is the power suppply and the other the motherboard by the time we got them fixed we could have a new one built that was better than both so thats our options.

i will find my way aroound this operatong system eventually.

it is cold here this morning again but....it is that time of year/

Hi Rhonda,
know what you're going thru. We managed to get back into our HD and get our stuff back, even managed to get it bootable again, but it won't let us repair Windows.

The computer is five years old and seeing we need a new HD we decided to upgrade at the same time. New motherboard, new proceessor, new memory. We got all the parts yesterday and my son will do the upgrade over the weekend.

Hope you and your family, especially your daughter are doing OK.

My daughter is hanging in there for now...hope he deal she made works out for her & w ehad a gorgeius day yesterday 61F for this time of year. THANKS FOR ASKING
Today don't know yet but we have to leave soon to head for our new puter.
Nice that you have soemone to help with repairs.... i know a bit but not when major stuff goes like it goes crackle boom and then does not turn on. \figured thats the power supply
PAUL THINKS THE MOTHERBOARD IS FAULTY ON THE OTHER.

WE went for supper with geocaching group nice group but the waitess never did bring my order so i still had to come home and cook.....the gent beside me didn't get his either and then the waitress spilled a whole Tray of drinks on the fella who didn't get to eat ,,,,HIS wife.

know that is the last time i attend one of these functions.

Hi Jim sorry to hear about your computers but its always good to have somesomeone around that can help you build them back up. I was going nuts with out mine, I was luck and I while in the hospital talked them into getting one on the unit though it wasn't on line it was somnething to so. I hope your wife is doing better.


Rhonda I am glad to hear that you got another computer. I am jeralous about the laptop. I almost got a laptop. I like the fact of sitting on the couch witht he conputer on my lap hehehehehe. But anyways the desk top that I got had what I wanted and the laptop didn't so thats what made up my mind even though it was a bit more. I hope that you got my email. The site seems to be working good now.

Well I have a party That I have to get ready to go to hopefully I have lots of presents hehehehehe just kidding lol

brought more junk down stairs til Paul goes through and
decided what he wants to keep and what he wants to get rid of

but need some elbow room here

will probably get rid of of even more stuff

its ridiculous the stuff we save.
