What are some things we can do to manage our stress? How do you manage your stress? Does it help or not? If not what can you do to to improve your stress management? Help each other out with this one.

Hi Mel:
What works for me is going for long walks when I am stressed. I usually go for a three mile walk a day.
the more stressed i become the more walks i take
i have a theory every step i take i step on a problem.
I had a friend --she liked to fish--she says every time she casts out the fishing line--she casts out a problem.
She lived in Arkansas.
Anyway walking works for me unless i get attacked by the neighbours dog then I yell at the humane society who does nothing the police who do nothing aND THE BY-LAW OFFICERS WHO REFUSE TO ENFORCE THE BY-LAW AND THEN I GET REALLY TICKED AND YELL AT THE MAYORS OFFICE staff--WHO MAY OR MAY NOT DO SOMETHING.
Through all this I have concluded that going through all the proper and legal channels gets you nowhere so now I pray someone will hit those darn dogs --or better yet shoot them--may God forgive me.
GEESH--I THINK I NEED TO FOR WALK NOW!!! Rhonda

Rhonda I'll say... you worked yourself up to a tizzy toward the end of your post! This may sound simplistic but doing something normal like shaving or washing the car helps me to calm down. Also making myself a nice cup of coffee and taking a drive helps. Sounds like a paradox but seems to work for me.
