Traffic is blighty = refers to my ability to relax in traffic, except during really heavy downpours in rush hour traffic; I feel completely at home in traffic. "and speak politely to Ms. Aphrodite" = refers to my ability to carry on a conversation with my significant other, while maintaining aplomb.
