A Poem.
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows
I like him just as well, As in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name. 'Tomorrow' I say! 'I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him.'
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away, 'Here's a telegram sir,' 'Jim died today.'
And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend.

I know very well, that your heart is in the right place Rhonda, you have proved this, by being here and looking after this site for your friend, when she could not be here and I admire you greatly for this. Life is not a simple journey from A to B, it has many ups and downs and for those with mental illnesses, life can be very cruel. Understanding and acceptance of those afflicted can be very hard to come buy at times, the only way you can do it is by opening your mind as well as your heart. I often have trouble finding the words to express my feelings, so at times I use songs. So I beg of you, just stop and consider....... au.youtube.com/watch?v=JBJpMxV0H9g

JIm: My daughter suffers from mental illness....i undertstand that there is no straight line in life but try and get through things as best as i can... in retrospect I have made mega mistakes I realize though for lack of a better word that those with the mental conditions feel more INTENSLEY....than the norm.....I do not always do well whe I am going throiugh life and somethings stay with me forever... all of us forever which makes us who we are. You are a good friend and man to help us out here and many times have given insight we could not see because we are too close to the problems at hand. I am also not judging you or anyone and we all have the right to be bitter about life or circumstances.... I just wish you could see how very special you are....as we do here. Not as someone with a diagnosis of mental illness just a wonderful caring friend with no labels. I wish life would treat you more kindly... all of us more kindly. Keeping you in my be well prayers and Brenda as well. Rhonda
